Description:

Lifebuoy was originally a carbolic soap and was red in colour, with a very distinctive medicinal smell.

This particular soap was purchased in ‘Woolworths’ for 35p. A High Street staple for decades, Woolworths reached its peak of 1,141 branches in the UK in the late 1960s. The last Woolworths shop in the UK closed in January 2009.
